More Than a Driver

As a ride service driver, I have given rides to over 100 different people in just a few months. That may not sound like much, but it is for our smallish town. Each rider has a unique personality and a refreshing ability for conversation. From struggling single mothers to world-traveling professors, I have taken them all. There is one thing in common - they have no means of transportation. Not only that, they may need help, support, or a kind ear. I had no idea that giving rides would be so complicated.

The stories presented here show the variety of roles a ride service driver can play. Some stories are tragic, while others are less dark, but they all happened. Journey with me on the road to being more than a driver.
